Advocacy

Affordable housing, fair legal representation, and available job opportunities are just a few of the issues NAMI advocates for. We are represented on both the committees below.

North/Northwest Task Force for Affordable Housing for Persons Recovering from Mental Illness- meets once each month.

Myers Place , the permanent supportive housing development for individuals living with disabilities in Mt. Prospect, opened Spring 2013.

Philhaven in Wheeling, the 50 unit permanent supportive housing apartment building, opened in the fall of 2016.
